Eight-colour central impression flexographic press — printing width up to 1,200 mm, up to 250 m/min, all eight colours printed around one drum in a single pass.
A central impression flexographic press for printing plastic film in up to eight colours. All eight printing units work around one central impression drum, so the web is held on the drum through every colour and all eight are printed in a single pass. This is what keeps register tight on thin, stretchy film, where a stack press has to carry the web between separate units.
The press prints LDPE, LLDPE, HDPE, BOPP, CPP, OPP, PET and nylon film, and also runs paper, non-woven and aluminium foil. It takes water based or solvent based ink. The drum and the printing units are gear driven.
Each of the eight units has its own chamber doctor blade and ceramic anilox roller. Printing cylinders are supplied as a set of eight; the standard set is 400 mm, and sets from 450 to 600 mm are available for longer repeats.
